Cannes Film Festival - Nightlife in Cannes

We've shown you the Croisette by day, its barriers and all the people who go for a walk. Now is the time to show you the other side of Cannes. A completely different rythm and style, nicely illustrated by our crew and their LC-A...

In a nutshell, Cannes looks a lot like a giant nightclub during the nights of the Festival. The Croisette looks completely different once the night has fallen.

First of all, we wanted to thank our friends Magali and David from Standard Magazine , for inviting our crew to their parties ! You can have a quick look at their blog to see some of their instant pics of Cannes taken with a Diana F+ !.

We knew how to tell you the story of the nighltife in Cannes right when our pictures came back from the lab.

First part : the bar. You quitely start the evening by asking for a gin and tonic at the bartender, and you try to find a seat or a table to chat with your buddies. People aren’t moving a lot right now, they’re being careful with their haircut and their perfecly clean and ironed jacket.

Second part : the DJ. Rossy de Palma is behind the turntables, you gently start to nod your head and tap your feet on the floor, and you feel like the party can really start at anytime now. We keep the flash of our LC-A on, and our little camera does its best to capture the people and the lights…

Third part : the dancefloor. Volume pushed to eleven. It stars being really shaky here…

If you’re not a big fan of this kind of parties, you may be able to find some alternative clubs in Cannes, just as ‘le Baron’, which is quieter than all the parties taking place on the Croisette’s beaches. Here’s the only picture we took inside the club. Feels smoother, right ?

We told you that the Lomo LC-A was the best to capture the feelings and the moods, it does it better than anyone. These pictures are the proof that we weren’t lying…
