Times Square Lomography Exhibition - Live Report!

Finally it's 11th April! The whole Lomography Hong Kong Crew was charged up and finished all the work early this morning and headed to the grand opening of the Times Square Lomography Exhibition @ Causeway Bay Hong Kong! Check out the live report...

The first sight upon arriving at the Times Square Lomography Exhibition was of course the gigantic 20m x 4m LomoWall built by the local Lomographers using over 14,000 actual Lomographs in a span of several weeks. The colorful LomoWall depicts the skyline of Hong Kong which has become the trademark of the city!

We warmed up by snapping non-stop at the open area before heading to the second floor where the grand opening would be held next to the giant cameras. After a short briefing, the exhibition was opened with a thunderbolt and thousands of gold and silver flakes falling from above, the show began!

We all faithfully followed the number one Golden Rule: Take your camera everywhere you go! However, there are cameras we could not take with us (though we all dream to) because of their huge sizes including the Diana F+ , Sprocket Rocket , Fisheye 2 and Lubitel 166+ . Each giant camera has a special mechanism and function which we chose not to disclose here, so you have to come over to find out what’s inside them.

Near the closure of the ceremony, the Lomography Asia crew got a chance to interview one of the guests of the opening – Lynn Xiong renown actress/model:

Hi Lynn, have you used any Lomography camera yet? Any unforgettable experience?

Lynn: Haven’t tried on personally but my assistant has been snapping with her Fisheye whenever we hang out with friends so we could get these special photos!

Which camera then you want to try from the pop-up store?

Lynn: The Fisheye No. 2 ! It looks so cute!

Alright, that’s about it for today, hang on for more analogue vibe coming soon tomorrow!
