American Photo features a great article about fun plastic cameras. Let's check it out, shall we?
One of my favorite magazines, the American Photographer, just published in the March/April issue a great article about plastic cameras by Michelle Bates. The very same Michelle Bates who wrote one of my favorite books, Plastic Cameras: Toying With Creativity. Some of the early history and current artists working with Holgas and Dianas are included in the eight page article. “ The International Lomographic Society , a champion of low-tech photography, brought back the Diana as the Diana+ . Both the Diana+ and the Holga are now endowed with entire lines of plastic-camera accessories. “ said Michelle Bates.
The really great part of this article is the mention many times of the International Lomographic society as being the place to find these cameras and accessories such as the Holgas, Diana F, and now the
Diana Mini. I was so very pleased to see and read this article I wanted to share it with my fellow Lomographer friends. Pick up this month’s March/April issue of American Photo or check it out at your public library. You will also find the lovely goodbye to Steve McCurry’s Kodachrome. Loved this issue, I am sure you will as well!
