Jon Naar on Shooting the Early Days of NYC Graffiti

New York's graffiti is undoubtedly a tourist attraction in itself. In this video, we go back to the 70's where Jon Naar documented the bustling scene with his trusty film camera.

Love them or hate them, the graffiti in New York is an institution and is here to stay. From simple tags to elaborate murals, the ‘urban art’ scene has sure come a long way since the 70’s when photojournalist John Naar documented New York’s emerging graffiti phenomenon. In this short video produced by Stussy, John talks about his unique standpoint on the scene.
