Step 1: Geotag Over 50% of your Photos
We aren’t doing anything in less than half measures in this Rumble. But don’t worry, Geotagging is easy. And it’s a cool way to explore all the best locations in your area (or any area) using our Nearby Map.
To make things easier, we’ve put an indicator in the ‘You’ section of your LomoHome which tells you exactly what percentage of your photos are currently Geotagged.
How do I Geotag my photos?
All you need to do is…
- Login
- Upload your photo in the Lab as usual
- Click ‘Put on Map’ in the Photos section
- Type in or manually click the location of your photo
- Click ‘Save Position’
Step 2: Submit 3 Locations in the next 3 Weeks
That’s just 1 location a week. So get thinking about where you’ve been with your camera recently and submit some location articles! The deadline for Locations submissions for the Rumble is 14th February.
Don’t forget, you get 5 Piggy Points for each accepted Location you submit – So, if each of your 3 Locations get published (which they should do if you’ve followed our Submission Guidelines), you’ve already bagged yourself 15 Piggy Points! Not too shabby for a little work!
Also, if you happen to submit one of our Requested Locations for the appropriate month, you’ll get 10 Piggies instead of 5!

How do I submit a Location?
You can submit a location article here.
Basic Requirements for each location submission:
- At least 5 Photos
- 40 word / 3 line minimum summary
- 75 word minimum main content
- 5 descriptive tags

Step 3: Share your Location in your LomoHome
This is the easiest step of them all. Just share your Country and City with the rest of the Lomography community. So if you’re in Reykjavik, Iceland, say so!
How do I add my location to my LomoHome?
If you haven’t already shared your location on your LomoHome, don’t worry, you can complete this part of the Rumble in a few seconds! Here’s how you do it:
- Login
- Click on ‘You’ in the Homes section
- Click ‘Edit’
- Select your Country from the drop-down menu and click ‘Show on my Home’
- Select your City from the drop-down menu and click ‘Show on my Home’
Step 4: Add a Link to your LomoHome as a Comment to Our Rumble Page
Step 5: One Randomly Selected Winner will get the Spinner 360!

Haha, this is a bit of an odd one, great for the 'newbies' who may only have a few albums but for us 'oldens' and especially mephisto well that could be 25,000 pics LOL! mad!

Somebody should fix the problem with the links for submitting articles in the "Do You Want To Write For Lomography?" section. If you follow those links, there's no line for preview images. I've been told twice that my submissions were being held because they had no preview image, but nobody has told me how to add them. I had to send those images by e-mail, but I still don't know any other way of accessing the Backend that includes the preview line.
