Lomography Gallery Store Tokyo Grand Opening First Photos and Video!

Check out our recap of the Lomography Gallery Store Tokyo's Grand Opening at the center of Tokyo, Shibuya! Fun, music and overall analogue love await our reopened store in the land of the Rising Sun!

At nightfall, The shiny red logo appeared in the gorgeous Tokyo night sky! This is the Lomograpy logo, now welcoming you in the center of Shibuya. Because of the good location along Meiji street near center of Shibuya city, many people were passing and checking our store even before the opening party!

Once the party started, our guests enjoy welcome drinks & snacks, Live Music and Japanese traditional soul food called “Takoyaki” and sweet sake called “Amazake.” And The opening crowd was amazing! There were around over 50% Lomographers, new analogue camera lovers and lots of new guests!

“Okay, take a break! Did you dress up? Did you bring your Lomograpy camera? If you have, please show me it!” The guests showed their camera. Please look forward to seeing the group photo on the magazine “SNAP” being to be issued soon.

The middle of the party, suddenly a special cake that is designed to look like our brand new camera, the “LOMO LC-A+ White” showed up. Our Lomography managers cut the cake for celebration.

The vocal singer “umiQ” of Japanese rock band “HEKIREKI”, played special songs inspired by Lomography’s camera for our party! He said he is satisfied with the song enough to be released as a CD. Please watch a movie below if you are interested.
