Last month saw an unprecedented sale of prints from renowned photographer Richard Avedon which reaped in a whopping $7.5 million! Not surprising though, given how beautiful his work is.

We assume that you’re familiar with Richard Avedon. If not, (for shame!!!) here’s a couple of prints that went under the gavel last month in Paris, with sales totaling over $7.5 million! Not bad eh?
This print of the 1955 photograph of model Dovima with elephants at a circus was the top earner at the sale — reaping euro841,000 ($1.15 million) alone. This photo is arguably one of, if not the most famous work that he did. Here’s a small gallery of his work for the initiated!
Check out thedailybeast for more photos of the prints auctioned off!
