As always, Lomography threw quite a party that had everyone that Photokina dancing and flashing! No, not that kind of flash but with their analogue cameras! Read on to find out more about the happenings in Cologne on the 4th day of Photokina!
Let Loose With Lomography
The Lomography staff isn"t only famous for it"s hard work but also for partying hard. This is why we left an unforgettable impression at the exhibitor party with our flashing analogue cameras last night. We’re still developing the photos though, so please wait for them soon!
Thanks to the amazing DJ Ricarrrrrrrrdo! We were the last men standing underneath the huge discoball this morning. You can imagine the Aspirin consumption at our booth was peaking today. Nevertheless, we still rocked Photokina pretty hard.
It’s all about Location Location Location (and not your cute boyfriend)
The Analogue Arts Juror is not only judging LomoLocation Proposals and handing out free cameras, but is also a willing ear for troubled teenagers. We can’t count the amount of times giggly girls stood at our desk starting their presentation with: “I have a really really super cute boyfriend and I want to take pictures of him on a bridge in the sunset/ I want to take pictures of us kissing in the forest when he finally comes back from his holidays (almost crying)/ I want to take pictures of him in my city, because he is so good looking.” The juror had to break several hearts telling that their boyfriend is not a LomoLocation. Yes, we can be cruel.
Overloading Photokina with Analogue Love
Luckily there were still tons of enthusiastic Lomographers with great and original LomoLocations. We literally loaded the photokina with hundreds of cameras, leaving a huge pile of empty boxes in our storage room. You can imagine that our whole team was in motion the whole day to satisfy all Analogue Needs. While we’re writing this, a model is crawling over our LomoWall right in front of us… Yeah, we’re going to call it a day now and open the next bottle of Moskovskaya.
