My Great LC-A Race While an Earthquake Lasted

The travelling camera who survived an earthquake - an update on the South American team of the Great LC-A Race!

On February 27, 2010 Chile was devastated by a terrible earthquake. In my city was not as strong as it was in the south of Chile. Anyway, the shock was big.

On February 26, 2010 I still had the camera of the Great LC-A Race, that day I had communicated with Sophia, the next in the race, to send her the box.

After the earthquake I told my team the shipment it was going to be delayed, because all the services in my country were a bit on standby. All of them were very nice to me, and they understood the situation.

The next few days, I thought it would be a good idea to walk around the city and see how it had survived the earthquake. Even though it wasn´t as strong as in the South, Valparaiso and Viña del Mar suffered serious damage.

Within days I saw the wonderful pictures of Chris Leskovsek (aka nadameanschris) and his good idea to create a book. My photos are not as good as him, but it’s the story of my city. My story at a difficult time with the South American team of The Great LC-A Race.
