Some time in 2008, I had a dream that something great was going to happen to me on the 13th of September. There were no hints whatsoever about what might happen that day but my boyfriend convinced me that the date would probably bring me luck and hence I waited for that day to arrive and unexpectedly 13th September 2008 marked my first step towards Lomography!
I got my first Lomo camera, a purple Holga 120GCFN on that day and I named it Barney. It was a pretty random thing as a friend of mine was buying a Holga for himself so he asked if I was interested in buying one so I said ok, even if it’s in purple!
From then on, I have indulged myself in Lomography and experimented on different cameras and film and it practically consumed my free time. I brought my cameras whenever I travel and it’s been such a joy to look forward to collecting the dozens of rolls of film from the lab in great anticipation.
Besides that I made a lot of friends through this new love of mine. It’s a common interest that brings different cultures together. Some are from LomotionSG which is a forum for Lomographers in Singapore, Lomokids – a forum based in Malaysia and LSI where I get to know u lot here!
I celebrated my first year “In Lomo” with fellow lomo fanatics eating ice cream in candlelight at Once upon a Milkshake, a quaint cafe serving delicious ice cream & milkshakes, with much hope for years to come. So cheers to Lomo for making my world a whole lot more exciting!

Cool!!! I just recently celebrated my one year anniversary as well. Time sure flies when you're with a Lomo.
