With all the fancy forms of travel nowadays, it's nice to kick it old school along with our analog cameras and ride and experience the train!
Railways have always been an integral part of community building. It provides a cheap and efficient means of transport and connects faraway communes to one another. It is such a pity then that slowly, carriage after carriage, they are vanishing. Just like our analog cameras, there’s just something different about the whole experience. From the weathered tracks, the interesting passengers, to being hypnotized by the scenery as you pass by, riding a train is a unique experience in itself, something that everyone should experience.
For Photos of the Week, we’re paying homage to trains and the sights and sounds of the railroad. This small gallery is from the Photos page. After looking, go out and shoot away, and ride your local railroad before it closes down!
