Grab your favorite movie, your favorite friend, and their favorite movie, and some film and plastic of course, pop it in your player, make sure the right settings are in place, then kick back and be ready to hit that shutter when the Paramount lion begins to roar!
I visited my dear buddy monoflow last month and of course that ignited some “plastic” projects and one rainy day we decided to chill at home and do a movie double. Monoflow is a veteran of movie doubles as you might have read in Tipster so I was very excited!
Flicking through Monoflow’s movie collection, I got really confused which movie I wanted to see on camera but I knew I had to pick a classic. I thought Alfred Hitchcock’s black and white Psycho would fit the occasion and to top that off, Monoflow picked the colourful yet old school Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. A combination meant for unexpected surprises!
Before we hit it off, we took in a little tripod help to make sure our LCA++ buddy was seated comfortably enough to not fall asleep through the marathon. We started off with Psycho and as soon as the roaring Paramount lion filled up the screen, I was off shooting the roll, trying to capture all my favorite scenes of this movie (mostly the infamous shower scene). And before I knew, my roll was fully exposed and it wasn’t even the end of the movie…bummer! The roll was passed on, we switched places, pressed play on the second movie, and Monoflow took over Alfred Hitchcock with Splinter and the gang of Ninja Turtles.
The roll became a movie of our own, depicting the story through our eyes and we were uber giddy with the results. So please take a peep on our take – The Psycho Ninja Turtles and drop us a line or two if it is your cup of tea. And don’t forget to try this at home of course!
