Ready for some doubles? Here is the best of a collaboration between Japan and France!
It would not be the weekend here at Lomography.com if there were no new doubles to enjoy! This week we show you the greens and blues of Japan and France!
“I was the lucky 4000th visitor to user06 and he asked me to make some doubles, which was a very exciting offer, my first doubles ever! So Japan vs France… Yashica Mat EM vs my beloved (and very first Lomographic camera) Holga. These pictures are from last series that we did together, 4 rolls in total and it’s definitely my favorite so far. It was a busy shot first by user06. I was lucky again as he chose a Fuji Provia 120 which is one of my favorite films, I love the crazy blue and green that you can get with it and this time, once again, I haven’t been disappointed ! Even if in some of the pics, you can hardly see that it’s a double… but this is the surprise of doubles! Anyway, this first experience was very exciting and I’m really grateful to user06 for his tips and advices!”
Doubles are pretty random we’ll give you that. Especially when you do them with a another Lomographer that has no clue about what you shot. But if you plan your project well, and select the cameras and film accordingly – it is still possible to have some idea of what you outcome will be. Of course, only if you want to.
Either way, doubles are a great way to experiment and to get the most of ones analogue experience! Have you already tried this? Then let us now by submitting your best doubles to the magazine New to doubles? Looking for a new partner? Let others know by posting in the comments!
