We feel it’s our duty to put the mouse down so we can shout from the rooftops about the newest and most exciting feature to be revealed on beta. Photos presents a fresh way to browse the wide world of awe-inspiring analogue photographs on beta.Lomography.

We are quite certain that like us, you will be captivated by the never-ending stream of stunningly gorgeous analogue photos – all from the Lomographic community – we hasten to add! We’ve connected all that meta information you guys have been filling in about your Lomographs in Labs in order to link everyone’s photos together! Pretty neat eh?

Once you arrive on Photos – just click on a word, tag or Lomograph that interests you to start your journey into the deep, wondrous and ever-growing archive of analogue photos on beta.lomography. Photos is so curiosity-friendly, we guarantee you’ll be become an Obsessive Compulsive clicker in no time! The Photos archive represents another step in our ultimate goal for the new Lomography site, which is to present you all with the best and easiest to use platform for showing ‘the tip of the top’ Lomographs. Fair play, you may say we are being biased here, but we think that once you spend a little time on beta.lomography and compare it to other experiences, we are confident you’ll be impressed with what you see and pleasantly surprised with how easy it is to work with. How to get your creations into the new Photos archive…

The exciting thing about Photos is that your pictures get to be seen by many more people than just those who happen to visit your Lomohome. How so? By filling in meta information on your Lomographs in the Lab; like the camera or film you used, the place it was taken or any other kind of tag – you automatically send it into the Lomography online Photos archive. So if you have already completed meta data – congratulations – your Lomographs are already able to be admired by analogue lovers the world over!

If you like what you see – go on and let it show! On Photos you can now leave a comment or pass on your compliments to its creator by clicking on the “I Like This Photo” button!

Photos Upload Rumble

To get you into the Photos groove we are staging a special a rumble in our Competitions section. Every day for the next week we will be awarding 10 photogenic Piggy Points to the community member who:
1) Uploads the most new photos with the most meta information filled in on them to beta.lomography.com
2) Leaves the most Comments and gives the most Compliments on Photos by clicking on the “I Like This Photo” button.

So there you have it – uploading and being nice could be the key to Piggy Point prosperity! You know that old saying – you have to give to receive, so give your fellow Lomographers a little sugar and spread some happiness by commenting on and complimenting on Photos.

    rightio - I've been to Photos - I see massive list of tags - but how do you search for specific tags then? - I dont see a search field...?

    Great new feature to get lost in an overwhelming stream of pictures! I like this!! And did this "rumble" already begin? Is it for every day of this week or did it start when the news was published in the blog?
    And I saw that the comments on the pics appear in the lomohomes too, but what about the "I like this picture" feature, could we see in our respective homes too how much people liked our pics? And is the list of tags/cameras/films/places the exhaustive one or only the most important???
    Sorry for so much questions at the same time, but I spent a bit time on this new section, found it great and these are the questions that came to my mind... ;)))
