The Packrat Bag

Packrat Prologue: Redeye to Reykjavik

Packrat Prologue: Redeye to Reykjavik

Iceland’s shining vistas, winter wonderlands, and wild nights have inspired many a Lomographer to hop on a plane and to snap her/his shutter with abandon. Truly, no place could be better to show the unique charms and rugged good nature of our new Packrat bag. As things are a little shaken up there nowadays, there was no better time for us to arrive and meet some of our very best friends.

Pack It Up, Pack It In

We Lomographers carry a lot of gear on our daily travels. Outside of the usual collections of books, cell phones, extra sweaters, important files, egg timers, dog bones, and rubber chickens – we’ve always got to transport at least one (preferably two or three) Lomographic cameras and a healthy serving of 35mm and 120 film.

How to keep it all together? Like its bushy-tailed rodent namesake, the Packrat bag gathers all of your daily wares and keeps it by your side in an easy-to-access open-topped tote bag. Whether slung over your shoulder or held in your hand, the Packrat carries everything that gets you through the day, while a hanging interior pocket holds the most important item – your most treasured camera – at a finger’s reach. Go ahead – hoard all you want and take along each and every thing that your heart desires. The ever-hungry Packrat has ample space to swallow it!

Crafted in rugged double-faced cotton canvas, the Packrat is available in two sizes and two colors – and looks smooth and stylish on both men and women. Toss one on! From day to night, the Packrat is by your side and ready to transport your most needed essentials.

Cold as Iceland

To show the Packrat in action, we enlisted the help of Adam Scott – professional photographer, analog author, Holga guru, Lomo book lieutenant, and Lomographer in excellent standing. Catching a flight to Reykjavik, he tossed the Packrat onto a diverse crew of eight exceptional Icelanders and photographed them in their native stomping grounds. We organized his mighty fine shots into our Packrat Gallery.

It's a great bag! Especially for groceries, for taking your laundry to the launderette...it's just soooo big!
And can I get the blue suitcaise on the second picture that says "Fruin I Hamborg"? Its's lovely and I'm a Hamburg enthusiast *g*

From a young male perspective, i wouldn't consider it unisex. Are there any awesome inside pockets, or is it a what you see is what you get?
