My LomoStory by zulupt

I discovered Lomography on a tiny article at the last page of a magazine, it had a really tiny picture of a Supersampler (I think it was a yellow one) but no sample picture, that plastic camera with four lens really catch my eye and I remember thinking “that’s awkward, a camera with four lens for 50€, I should get one for me” but time passed by and I forgot that tiny plastic wonder.

In 2005 I stopped by the Stockmarket; the Stockmarket is a place where you can buy clothes, sunglasses, shoes, etc… brand new but much more cheap, it only happens once a year and lasts a weekend only; when I get there I saw a little Lomo stand, between all the cameras I saw a black Supersampler and it was love at first sight, I remember asking:

“What kind of pictures does this camera take?”

She (the seller) showed me a sample picture and said:

“Oh, it takes 4 sequential pictures in 2 or 0.2 seconds”

“Ok, that seems very nice, how much for it?”

“50€”

I didn’t have any money with me, only plastic, the seller didn’t accepted plastic but a friend of mine had only 50€ in the pocket and lend it to me; It was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. I remember people looking with a strange face every time I used my Supersampler and asking “what kind of camera is that?” I always had to explain people the same thing the seller said to me “Oh, it takes 4 sequential pictures in 2 or 0.2 seconds”

The SS really made me fell in love for Lomography.
