It was still light outside when I landed at 11.40 pm and I was almost too tired to enjoy the beautiful descent with Reykjavik lit up beneath me. Excitement finally caught up with me as I stepped onto Icelandic soil. This country is absolutely captivating...its beauty far too infinite and overwhelming to describe...words will not do. For the past 2 days we have driven all over the south-west on crazy off-road trails and through rivers and seen beauty too vast to contain. Moonscapes, geysers, waterfalls, lava, hot-springs, volcanoes...mystical & unspoild...laid out in front of you. "Lord of the rings" everywhere.
