  • Stressed by the City? Go Wild in the Lake District!

Stressed by the City? Go Wild in the Lake District!
Living in London can be stressful add to that a miserable wet summer. There is nothing like an escape to the North of the country and feel/see nature! A great spot: the District Lake in the North of England.
  • When Lomo Went to the Seaside

When Lomo Went to the Seaside
I visited Blackpool after an absence of thirteen years but this time went armed with a Vivi and a roll of E-6. Not only that but this was to be my first experience with lo-fi photography after spending the last few years in a digital only world. It was certainly an eye opener!
  • Map It And Tag It Rumble - Blackpool!

Map It And Tag It Rumble - Blackpool!
Oh! I do like to be beside the seaside, I do like to be beside the sea! I do like to stroll upon the Prom, Prom, Prom! Where the brass bands play: 'Tiddely-om-pom-pom!'. So just let me be beside the seaside, I'll be beside myself with glee.
  • Lake District

    Lake District
Fairy-tale looking mountainous region in Cumbria, North-West region of United Kingdom. Lots of people think of the UK as a babylon country of hustle and struggle, and eternal fog (you name it). They are always surprised to see the photos of enormously beautiful landscapes this country possesses. Lake District is one of its treasures.
  • Blackpool Promenade

    Blackpool Promenade
This stretch of coastline has felt many-a-tourist's sandals/bare feet trot along it in the past. But is it really the same today as it was back when it was popular? Or is it even the same as it's portrayed on the tele? Having been a regular visitor since I was a child, I think not. But the important question is, does it still have that special something about it?
  • Wasdale Head hiking

    Wasdale Head hiking
For those who enjoys flat but exciting hiking. Lake District is a vast area. But where to start? If you are into camping, start at Wasdale head camping site. It is situated right on the edge of Wastwater lake, the deepest one in England.
  • Easdale Tarn - An Oasis of Peace

Easdale Tarn - An Oasis of Peace
Just two miles from Grasmere lies a beautiful mountain lake. We put on our walking boots, filled the Holga with film and the rucksack with water (and more film) and headed out for some tranquility.
  • St Mary's Church

    St Mary's Church
Belfast's most famous place of worship is probably St. Anne's Cathedral, located by Cathedral Quarter, a hive of activity at its annual Arts Festival. But in a most unlikely place, St Mary's Church also provides some astonishingly silent sanctuary. A few doors up from Castle Court, Belfast's biggest shopping centre, St Mary's is in a rather odd location, but still a retreat in the midst of city centre madness. Built in 1784, it was Belfast's first Catholic church - before it opened its door, Belfast's Catholic population met to worship at a site called Friar's Bush. Inside the church can be seen brightly-painted statues, Italian artwork, dramatic arrangements of candles and, of course, a depiction of the Sacred Heart.
  • Queen's Island

    Queen's Island
Queen's Island on the River Lagan is home to the Harland and Wolff ship-yards, birthplace of the Titanic, probably Belfast's most famous export. The Belfast shipbuilding industry can be dated back to the mid-1600s, and the banks of the Lagan became devoted to the H+W shipyards in the late eighteenth century. From Queen's Island came some of the most famous ships in modern history, such as the Olympic and the Britannia. Despite its sticky end, the Titanic is still celebrated as one of the most notable triumphs of modern industry, and its history is celebrated each year during the Belfast "Titanic Festival".
  • Tall Ship The Bounty

    Tall Ship The Bounty
In August 2007, the tall ship The Bounty, visited Maryport on the west coast of Cumbria. The ship, a replica of the one famed for the 1789 mutiny between Fletcher Christian and Captain Bligh in the South Pacific, docked in the tiny port as part of a world voyage which continues through 2008.
