The Aran Islands are group of three islands off the west cost of Ireland. The biggest island is called Inis Mór and that is where we went for a small break at the end of August 09.

Das hier ist ein ganz besonderes Fleckchen Erde! Gewissermaßen einer der Orte, an dem die Welt aufhört – bzw. aufgehört hat. Diese Küstenlinie Irlands war immerhin das westlichste Stück Festland, das die „Alte Welt“ kannte. Bis immerhin 1492, als der gute Christoph Columbus sich aufmachte, Indien zu entdecken.
