When someone says "seaside", you probably think of sun, sea and sand and might not necessarily think of Brighton as sand does not exist here. That however, does not mean a trip down to Brighton should be missed.

Durdle Door is one of the most photographed landmarks along the Jurassic Coast. This rock arch in the sea was formed as a result of the softer rocks being eroded away behind the hard limestones, allowing the sea to punch through them. The name Durdle is derived from an old English word 'thirl' meaning bore or drill.

Brighton. The Lanes, the beach, the Pier, the bay, the mall, the fish and chips, the cotton candy, the train station, the deck chairs, the colorful houses, the market, and so much more! Brighton is the perfect day trip away from central London.

Due to low funds, one summer we wanted to stay inside the UK for our holidays and Lyme Regis was the place we decided on! We timed our trip to Lyme Regis perfectly. The sun made an appearance for most of the week and we were just in time for the local regatta. The locals had arranged various games and activities for people to take part in, even in a balloon race!

I have been Lomographing in Brighton for about three years now and have a long list of exciting places to shoot, which aren't the West Pier! I think that my locations are probably more for the Brighton resident rather than the day tripper. They are quite tucked away and if you are a Lomo tourist there's plenty to snap away right on the sea front!

Christchurch in Dorset has it all: a quaint high-street, market days, ruins, a huge priory, a mill mentioned in the doomsday book and loads of swans! What's more, you can jump on a ferry to Hengitsbury Head.

I have never tried an actual modeling shoot and fancied giving it a go. I had also just been introduced to a website called 28 Days Later. This website is for people to post shots of their urban exploring adventures. The idea is to gain access to forgotten sites those that are run down and disused, and take photos. The buildings are like a time capsule of the day they were shut.
