Last summer my family and I went on a holiday to Alsace, in north-eastern France. Colmar was my favorite city I saw in the trip. It was founded in the 9th century, because of that you can feel its rich history.

At the town of Schaffhausen, the Rhine reaches a width of 200 meters and has a summer flow of over 1,000 cubic meters per second. Then it faces a sudden drop of over 20 meters. This is known as the Rhine Falls (Rheinfalls), the largest in Europe.

Tutti gli anni, in estate, prendo la mia mountain bike e con due borse al seguito montate sulla ruota posteriore mi avventuro per un giro in bici attraverso l'Europa. Quest'anno ho optato per un tour intorno al lago di Costanza, in una settimana caldissima anche oltre le Alpi... ed allora, ho approfittato dello splendido lago per delle belle nuotate e dei tuffi a volontà! State a vedere!

El pasado verano mi familia y yo fuimos de vacaciones a Alsacia, en el noreste frances. Colmar fue, de todas las que vi en el viaje, mi ciudad favorita. Fue fundada en el siglo nueve, supongo que por eso puedes sentir su rica historia.

Al llegar a la población de Schaffhausen, el Rhin alcanza los 200 metros de anchura y tiene un caudal (en verano) de más de 1.000 metros cúbicos por segundo. Es entonces cuando se encuentra con un repentino desnivel de más de 20 metros. Es lo que se conoce como las cataratas del Rhin, las mayores de Europa.

Basilea è situata nella Svizzera nordoccidentale, vicino al confine con la Francia e con la Germania. Il magnificente fiume Reno scorre attraverso la città. La Foresta Nera tedesca è a breve distanza dall'altra parte del fiume.
