I live in a valley in western Austria, somewhere in the middle of high mountains, small rivers, and many lakes. So I'm very close to those places where you can relax, recharge your batteries or just enjoy nature.

From where I live, it is hard to get to the sea by car. But there are many lakes around my place that I like to spend my time at and bring my cameras. Last week my girlfriend and I grabbed her dad's camper and started down south with no special idea. On the way, we decided to visit a camp sight at Gardalake and see what the week will bring..

My most memorable travel escapade in 2011 was a one-week hike through the Alps. I grew up in the south of Germany and my parents always took me to the Alps. They love to walk and I didn't. Now I live far away from from those huge mountains, in a medium-sized city. I actually started to miss them.

An almost forgotten area in the Grisons in Switzerland: The Schatzalp in Davos. Once a well known ski area, then closed for years and the only highlight: the historic hotel. But I have explored this spot for me again.

What if a Sunday afternoon walk turns out to be a heavenly journey across statues, monuments and artistic decorations dedicated to the dearly beloved? Thanks to the astonishing beauty of vignetted images and dramatic tones of redscale film, my Diana F+ photo shots became a real oniric reportage.

Me and my friends went to a masquerade party in Milan on Carnival Day.
