I could write a lot about pizzas in La Bersagliera, but if you look at the pictures you will understand it. They are absolutely A W E S O M E. They are hot and spicy, what makes the pizza delicious. Pizzas are made in Calabrese style. Once you taste them, you cannot forgot them. A big hot spicy pizza and a beer for less than 12 €. What else can you need?

Oh, who in the world hasn't heard of Pisa and its infamous leaning tower?! I remember my parents had one of those tacky tower lamp souvenirs from their many trips abroad (I'm from the Philippines) and knew the moment I had the chance, I too would make my way to that lovely little city and take in the tower myself. Ahhh, the lovely fortress town of San Gimignano! It was declared a UNESCO architectural world heritage site and no doubt indeed. The town is surrounded by massive walls and the entrance arch frames narrow cobbled streets lined with shops and cafes all bearing the specialities of the region. From hand-painted ceramics, glassware, pounded silver jewelry and of course the famed wines.

If you ever go to Firenze, you'll probably get fed up with tourists. Then it is your turn: take the bus #12 towards Piazzale Michelangelo; it's quite a long journey from Santa Maria Novella Train Station, but it's worth it. You'll notice that the bus is going up a hill, tell the driver you want to stop at San Miniato al Monte.

Kaum steckte das Abi druckfrisch glänzend in der Tasche, überkam so manchen die große Lust sich einfach nur der Sonne hinzugeben und sich kopfüber in die Wellen zu stürzen. Genau das habe ich dann auch gemacht. August 2010: Zehn Tage Toskana glasiert mit einem Abschlusswochenende in Pisa.
