According to travel guides, Hitchcock was amazed by Zadar's sunset. We spent the last week of September here, and were very anxious to see this famous phenomenon with our own eyes.

On our one-week visit in Croatia, we went for a trip to the Kornati Islands. The Kornati National Park of Croatia is quite unusual: it lies on many smaller or larger islands. We went there from Zadar, buying a ticket for a tour on a large ship. We had a beautiful, sunny day ahead of us.

I dare you to go get a map of Europe and try find my hometown on it. Find Italy and its Adriatic coast. Now, go to the opposite coast and you will find the most beautiful region of Croatia - Dalmatia! Šibenik, my hometown, is situated right there! Welcome!

When i see the sea my eyes get brighter. I love it. I absolutely adore it. The smell, the wind, the sun.. everything about it puts me in the best mood ever. But there are some places I enjoy more than other. And thanks to my father I've seen quite a lot of seaside towns in Croatia, Slovenia and Montenegro by now. Still, some of them managed to stay in my heart while some others couldn't. Omis is one of those which i will remember with smile on my face.

Plitvice Lakes National Park lies in the Plitvice plateau which is surrounded by three mountains part of the Dinaric Alps in Croatia.

A day of fun - and lots of photographs in the biggest island in the Adriatic Sea. Zlatni Rat Beach is possibly the most well-known beach in Croatia. With its distinct pointed shape, the water surrounding it even seems to glisten in the sunlight. While crowded, you can still have a good time whether it be playing water sports or just basking in the sun.

Dugi Otok is situated in the middle of the Croatian Adriatic. The ferry ride from Zadar is 90 minutes to the capital city of Sali on Dugi Otok. The island is superb, almost no tourists, no market centers, and no crowd on the beaches...
