In 2012, I was lucky enough to take a brilliant holiday to Bulgaria, where I managed to hit a few different locations over the course of 2 weeks. This is now my favourite holiday destination ever.

This summer I was lucky enough to spend two weeks touring around Bulgaria with three other people in a brand new Chevy! Over the next few articles, I am going to share with you some of my photos from that trip, place by place. This is about the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia, where we spent the first three days.

A quiet place with a lot of breathtaking views and steep slopes to climb on your day off - at just one hour ride away from the capital Sofia, Bulgaria.

Dolna Banya is an excellent place for a short visit - quiet and beautiful, just an hour-and-a-half ride off from Bulgaria's capital city, "Sofia". Every rooftop house with several White Stork's nests and beautiful flowers that literally grow everywhere. It has an awesome climate, clean air and mineral water right off the tap.

Nestled in the heart of the RIla mountains you will find Beli-Iskar. A sleepy village with a population of about 900. We were in the area with a friend so he took around the village and the local area. If you go in winter its cold.........REALLY COLD!!! When we were there it was about -20 degrees Celsius and when I got out the car I got the same brain freeze sensation I get when I eat ice cream, just without the ice cream.

Deze zomer maakte ik met drie vrienden een rondreis door Bulgarije. In een gloednieuwe Chevy reden we het hele land door. Onze reis bracht ons langs onverwacht mooie plaatsen, waaronder ook het Vitosha-gebergte.
