Hello again, I come to you today from the ruins of the old Akron Rubber Bowl. Okay, so it’s not quite ruins but four years of abandonment really takes its toll on a stadium. Come with me on this journey into what happens to old stadiums.

A Walk in the Park with Me, Myself and My Favorite Cameras
Sometimes, when it is a nice day and I need a rest from my never-ending pile of things I need to do, I will go down to the park at the back of my apartment building for a stroll by myself with a couple of cameras in hand. I'm extremely lucky to live right near such a beautiful park that I am able to walk in to rejuvenate, as well as get a little exercise.

  • The Other London

    The Other London
I have followed my heart to the other London, In Ontario, Canada and as an outsider I will be sharing my new experiences with the London that no-one automatically thinks of when you mention the name. The one between the great lakes, south of Toronto and inhabited by students including my boyfriend, they say that first impressions last and here are mine...
  • Michigan Central Station (Detroit)

    Michigan Central Station (Detroit)
Old buildings intrigue me. I think about the stories that could be told if the walls could talk. Michigan Central Station at 2405 West Vernor in Detroit opened in 1913 and operated as a passenger rail station until the last Amtrak train pulled away from the station on January 6, 1988.
  • Tiger Stadium, Detroit

    Tiger Stadium, Detroit
“Everything is going to be fine. Everything is going to be fine. Ernie saves the day.” I was walking back to my car after taking photos of the Tiger Stadium demolition this summer, when this guy started yelling at me as I made my way down the sidewalk. He was clutching a drink and white paper bag full of food. “Excuse me?” I said. “Ernie saved the day,” he said.
  • Living in a Snowapocolypse Wonderland

    Living in a Snowapocolypse Wonderland
(To be read in a menacing movie trailer voice) On the second week of December 2010, London (Ontario, Canada) got battered with snow squalls which lasted for over three days dropping almost half the amount of snow in two days that they would get all winter. This is the city you've just moved to, and you can't walk on ice.
  • Lake View Cemetery

    Lake View Cemetery
I've been living in Cleveland far too long to not go see Lake View Cemetery. President Garfield, John D. Rockefeller, Harvey Pekar, and the namesake of practically every building in town are buried there. It's a beautiful fall walk through the woods.
  • Cleveland, Ohio: Rock On!

    Cleveland, Ohio: Rock On!
This past summer, my husband and I spent a few days in Cleveland, OH, at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He had never been there before. "What?" I said. "Seriously?" I said. We live only a few hours away and I was sure everyone who was ever born in our area had been there. Apparently not. This is our story.
  • Travel Memories of 2011

    Travel Memories of 2011
I know I've kind of missed the boat on posts wrapping up the year that has past in photos or memories but I still wanted to have the opportunity to go through and pick some of my faves that you may or may not have seen over the past year from my Lomography film cameras. When I saw the requested post tagline of Most Memorable Travel Escapades in 2011, I thought that it all fit in nicely together too.
  • Hey, Cupcake!

    Hey, Cupcake!
As I sit here writing this wearing my cupcake pajamas I am a self-proclaimed cupcake fiend. If you have a sweet tooth and you like to take photos, visiting a cupcake store is one of the greatest places to be!

(Please note, this article is in another language)
