  • The Mies Van Der Rohe Pavillion - Barcelona

The Mies Van Der Rohe Pavillion - Barcelona
I found myself visiting Barcelona and this time, my feet were directed towards Montjuic. I had been there previously, but this time was different. The underground metro stopped at the Espanya station and I climbed outside to Montjuic. How beautiful! The plaza is very large, there is a lot of traffic and the Palace of Montjuic is there, lying on the hill, watching how everything below is taken care of.

Local Flavour: Sant Sadurni d'Anoia, Barcelona, Spain
Sant Sadurni d'Anoia is a small village of around 8000 people located near Barcelona. It is at the heart of the Alt Penedès Wine Region.
  • Funicular

    Funicular
There is just something about riding a funicular that brings out the child in me. I get all giddy with excitement as the slanted tram travels up a very steep slope normally with fantastic views along the way. This particular funicular was in Barcelona and is one of the two ways you can get up to Mt. Tibidabo (aside from car/bus-boring!) and is over 100 years old and is the first of its kind in all of Spain!
  • Try Barcelona for Some Place Hot in the Holiday Season

Try Barcelona for Some Place Hot in the Holiday Season
Although I am usually more likely to take a trip to Eastern Europe, if you are looking for somewhere warm to take a Christmastime vacation, then I recommend Barcelona for sun, beaches, and palm trees galore.
  • Spanish Wedding

    Spanish Wedding
I haven't been to many weddings, yet. Still I have to say, that this is increasing lately, and that makes me worry;) One of the latest was an Andalucian wedding in Spain. Quite a bunch of people came from all over Spain and Europe to the tiny town of Tossa de Mar, which is perfecto for the romantic side of klife. The streets are narrow and as old as the eglisas.
  • St. Cugat Hotel and Restaurant

    St. Cugat Hotel and Restaurant
I recently visited a beautiful old town called Sant Cugat, just 20 km outside Barcelona, Spain and I also had the pleasure of staying in one of its newest and most comfortable hotels, St. C H & R (the link is "http://www.hotel-santcugat.com/":http://www.hotel-santcugat.com/ ). It has all the facilities you can expect from a modern hotel: library, internet connection, bar and restaurant and air conditioning but it is the décor that is most appealing.

Beautiful Greenery at Parc Guell, Barcelona
Parc Guell is perhaps one of the most beautiful parks I have ever visited. Of course the beautiful sunshine, palm trees filled with exotic green birds, and panoramic views of Barcelona are the main reasons for this - and it is a million miles different from any of the parks in the UK.
  • Supersamplin’ at the Beach in Montgat

Supersamplin’ at the Beach in Montgat
Montgat is an amazing beach that’s really close to Barcelona and the best thing is, it’s never as crowded as the beaches inside the city. In January, it becomes a great location to take your dog on a fun filled-action packed day!

(Please note, this article is in another language)
En Cataluña, la tradición se convierte en fuego. Las calles y las plazas de todos los pueblos se convierten, en sus fiestas mayores, en el infierno, donde diablos y diablesas bailan al ritmo de los tambores.
