Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza. These are just a few of the biggest music festivals in the U.S. Yes, their lineups are always great and everyone gushes about how much fun they have when they go and the music blogs talk about them for months on end. I have even gone to two of the aforementioned festivals myself. They truly are magical. However, I am never going back!
One of the things that I love about lomography.com is that I can get completely lost in other worlds. For someone who has spent a lifetime trapped in suburbia and has only had a few opportunities for a brief escape, the places that are some people's own backyards are often my idea of an exotic paradise.
Every fall we grab a posse and caravan from Louisville up to Borden Indiana to Huber's farm. They have tractor rides out to pumpkin patches, you can pick your own apples, and they have a wonderful selection of fresh produce! This year we had about twenty people and spent the day laying in the grass, eating apples plucked fresh from the tree and running through the corn maze. I highly suggest that everyone nearby make an effort to go next October!
