I've been to Seoul several times already but it was only during my last trip that I got to visit Namsan Tower. I guess it's because I was all alone that time so I was free to go wherever I want - and at a leisurely pace. While the climb up made me all googly-eyed already because I thought I'd just pass out from exhaustion, all the effort was actually worth it because it's one of my favorite touristy spots in Seoul.

During the day, you can still see and walk easily through its main street and alleys. But wait 'til Myeongdong gets dark and you will be lost amidst the huge crowd of shoppers and tourists as well as makeshift stalls that are put up for the night market. Myeondong seems a lot livelier after 6:00pm.

Gyeongbokgung - one of the top 10 tourist attractions in Seoul, South Korea. Gyeongbokgong, also known as Gyeongbok Palace, is a royal palace located at northern Seoul. It was built in 1395. Gyeongbokgung is the most beautiful and remains the grandest of all five palaces. The name of "Gyeongbokgung" means "Palace of Shining Happiness" in English.
