I have lived about one and a half hours north of Sydney my whole life before moving overseas. We went to the big smoke for school trips, special events, and shopping. Upon returning home and showing my Canadian boyfriend around the city, these were the places I had to show him and would recommend to anyone visiting!

The Sydney to Los Angeles flight is one of the longest flights in the world, and as I am a native of Sydney but I live in Canada, I have done this flight more times that I would have liked to. Luckily, I have captured some images with some simple plastic cameras that you can use them during take-off and landing!

Circular Quay is the hub of Sydney Harbour, situated in a small inlet called Sydney Cove, the founding site for Sydney and Australia. It is a stepping-off point for most attractions based around the harbour and an exciting place to be on a warm summer's day. Luna Park is just a short ferry ride across the Harbour from Circular Quay and is a fun place with a dark history.

Without bragging (ok, maybe a little), the NSW coastline has many amazing beaches, coves, cliffs and crashing waves – basically you are never short of an amazing ocean view. However it can be hard to remember that when you're stuck in Sydney. Yes, yes, the city is situated on the beautiful Sydney Harbour but it is also among the momentous tangle of city traffic, noise, and crowds. Let’s escape from the city!
