When I was a child, I’m always thinking about when can I travel abroad. Now, I consider myself lucky as I am able to go around the world, thanks to my family. Going to Brazil seemed impossible to me at first as it’s so far away from my home. But through the World Scout Event, I was given the chance to visit one of my dream destinations.

The Oktoberfest in Blumenau attracts annually thousands of tourists from the whole world. Since the beginning 1984 it was immediately a great success and the Oktoberfest is today, after Munich, the second-largest "beer celebration" of the world. Already in the second year of 1985 the celebration was misplaced in 2 halls of the "Vila Germanica" complex where it also occurs up to now.

This beach is located on the south east side of the Island of Florianopolis. There is no road that you can take to the beach, and depending where you start it is a half mile to a mile walk to get there. You can take a little ferry boat from one of the closer more accessible beaches if that is your fancy as well.

Quando eu era criança, sempre pensava sobre como seria quando eu viajasse ao exterior. Agora, eu me considero sortudo, pois posso viajar pelo mundo graças à minha família. Ir para o Brasil parecia impossível para mim, já que é tão longe de casa. Mas, através de um Evento Mundial de Escoteiros, eu tive a oportunidade de conhecer um dos meus tão sonhados destinos de viagem.

No último mês de dezembro fiz um passeio com alguns amigos pela região da Serra do Rio do Rastro, no interior de Santa Catarina. Aproveitei claro, para levar minha Fisheye e muitos filmes na bolsa para registrar cada momento.

Essa Praia fica no sudeste de Florianópolis. Não há estradas para lá, e dependendo de onde você sai pode levar de 800 metros até mais de 1,5 Km de caminhada até lá. Você pode pegar uma barca de uma das praias próximas mais acessíveis se for sua vontade.

Desde o início em 1984, foi imediatamente um grande sucesso e a Oktoberfest é hoje, após a de Munique, a segunda maior “festa da cerveja” do mundo. Já na segunda edição em 1985, a celebração foi instalada em dois pavilhões do complexo “Vila Germânica” onde é realizada até os dias de hoje.
