Tell us about yourself. What do you do for a living? What are your interests?
Well, I am 20 years old and I just finished the “Pädagogische Maturitäts Schule”, an A-Level college for becoming a teacher. I love making music, especially with my band called “Old Gypsy Man’s Hat” and of course running around with all my Lomo cameras.
How long have you been a Lomographer and how did you find out about the Community?
I’ve been a Lomographer since fall 2010. I discovered Lomography through a friend who had a Diana Mini, and I knew my Mother once bought a Lomo in Vienna. It was a green Supersampler. And nowadays I’m a passionate Lomographer.
Describe the LomoKino in five words.
Simple, experimental, fun, extraordinary, ingenious.
How did you like shooting with the LomoKino?
It’s a really fun thing to do. You never know how the product will look like, and I am a huge fan of such things. It’s an inspiring experience!
What or who has inspired you to purchase and use the LomoKino?
Nobody. As the LomoKino was published, I knew I must have one. It’s something new. You can’t just shoot single pictures with it, you can shoot a whole story! I can’t really describe the feeling I had when I made the decision to purchase one. But I knew I needed it :)
Any funny or strange encounters you’ve had with it?
None yet. :)
If you could shoot any person alive or dead (or imaginary) with your LomoKino, who would it be and why?
I would love to shoot Hillel Slovak, the former Red Hot Chili Pepper guitarist, with my LomoKino. I would love to shoot a video clip to one of the songs of their album “The Uplift Mofo Party Plan,” when Hillel Slovak was still alive.
Kindly share to us any LomoKino movie you love the most.
I really love this movie. The horse head is hilarious and really made me laugh.
Any future plans with your LomoKino? More shoots or a full-length film perhaps?
Not at the moment, but maybe soon I’ll shoot another video clip to a song of my band, or perhaps another band. Who knows? :)
Your advice to future LomoKino users.
Use your LomoKino at bright sunlight! Have a whole lot of fun while shooting and never worry about the product in the end, it’s always brilliant!
