Community LomoAmigo Tesatscad Gets Personal with the LomoKino

He's one of the curious Lomographers who surely looked out for the LomoKino as one of our then mystery product! Well, it sure was worth the anxiety for this week's Community LomoKino LomoAmigo!

He shoots with the LomoKino for personal use. He just can’t get enough of the analogue movie maker that he suggests everyone to develop their own LomoKino films. Agree to that! Learn more from Sebastian or tesatscad!

Tell us about yourself. What do you do for a living? What are your interests?

I am a student for Medical Computer Science at the University of Applied Science in Brandenburg, Germany. And next to my Lomography life I am interested in traveling and cooking, I know it sounds weird but this helps me to relax and it keeps me away from unhealthy food.

How long have you been a Lomographer and how did you find out about the Community?

I started as a Lomographer in the end of September 2011 when I spontaneously bought a Diana Mini at the Lomography Gallery Store in Berlin. I found the Community a few months earlier which made the decision easier to buy one of the cameras because the pictures on the site are great and I wanted to take such great pictures by myself.

Describe the LomoKino in five words.

The box which creates dreams.

How did you like shooting with the LomoKino?

It is fun, but I realized for me using a tripod is better than shooting out of the hand because my films were too shaky.

What or who has inspired you to purchase and use the LomoKino?

The mystery product announcements on the site made me curious about the product and when it was launched I bought the LomoKino a few days later at the store in Berlin.

Any funny or strange encounters you’ve had with it?

I had to do a presentation for a study project and decided to make a short movie with some fellow students. We filmed on the campus of the university and some students of the media informatics department were surprised by the camera because they film only with their DSLRs and use programs to make the look of old cameras.

If you could shoot any person alive or dead (or imaginary) with your LomoKino, who would it be and why?

When I could shoot any person then it would be Arnold Schwarzenegger (twenty years younger), because I want to shoot an action film and a LomoKino Terminator sequel would be interesting.

Kindly share to us any LomoKino movie you love the most.

Any future plans with your LomoKino? More shoots or a full-length film perhaps?

I plan to shoot more films which I can share on the site. At the moment I used the LomoKino for private films like birthdays, student parties etc. which I cannot share on the site.

Your advice to future LomoKino users.

Start getting into the self development of your films, because when you begin with the LomoKino you will shoot roll after roll and the waiting gets annoying and your bank account will like it too.

Enter a new analogue dimension with the LomoKino. Lomography’s own 35mm analogue movie camera allows you to capture action and immortalize your story on film! Shoot 144 frames on any 35mm film and create your own cinematic masterpieces. Want to watch your movie the old-school way? We also offer the LomoKino and LomoKinoscope package!
