Cheryl Lee Xin Yi, a multi-talented Chinese artist, living in Malaysia, has so much joie de vivre inside her that she is always able to find a way to express herself, whether its through her words, or her bubbly personality. Hailing from a small town in Pahang, Malaysia, this amigo shows us how to capture our beautiful Malaysia with La Sardina after the jump!

Tell us about yourself. What do you do for a living?
I’m currently a TV host, book author, and lyricist.

How did you get yourself into this industry, since when and why?
I involved in this line since 2006, it was an audition for TV host recruitment, and it was just a coincidence which I didn’t plan for it.

What’s the best part of being a multi-talented artist?
I can enjoy different kind of fun from different industries!

And the worst?
Lack of sleep, haha!

How long have you been a Lomographer (or are you new to this whole thing)?
I’m new! ;)

How did you like shooting with the La Sardina?
First, it’s outlook is cute, and it’s easy to function.

Describe the La Sardina in five words.
Just prepare for the surprise.

Any funny or strange encounters you’ve had with it?
I wasted a few rolls of films before as I forgot to pull the lens out.

Who influenced your life most? Why?
My mum, she is the strongest woman I’ve ever seen.

Tell us the most heart-warming moments that have happened in your life so far?
I received a birthday card, from all of my family members who then wrote me wishes on it during my 27th birthday.

What is the definition of analogue lifestyle to you?
Back to the basics.

What’s the hands-down greatest Lomographic experience you’ve ever had?
Had a LomoWalk experience with La Sardina in one of my TV program shooting.

If you could teleport right now to anywhere in the world with your camera and a bag full of film, where would you go and why?
My hometown in Pahang. The most memorable place in the world as I spent my entire childhood days there.

If you could photograph anything in the world (person, place, moment, whatever) what would it be?
A star.

Tell us something about what you’ve been doing lately, like your latest project and your future plans?
I’m doing promo tour of my latest book, ‘When Love Is There’; a book to create HIV awareness.

What’s your favorite photo in the collection and why?
My favorite photo is the multi exposure of the constructing building, and the arrow sign of the road. I think it is aggressive and energetic.

Lastly, what advice can you give our readers when shooting with the La Sardina?
Multi exposure is a good way to enhance your creation, explore it.
