Could you talk a little bit about yourself and about what you do? And if the fun is also a part of your work?
I am a photographer, working with portraits, nudes, fashion. Publishing and advertising market. My work is my joy. I love people.

How long do you work as a photographer? In the moment that you worked with analogue photography, or if you still work with it, what do you consider particulary special about it?
I have a 13-year career. I worked the most part of my life with film and I miss it a lot. Today, 98% is digital, but, in my leisure time, I still photograh with film. Film has a texture that I still don’t see in digital photos. And there is the surprise factor…

Who are the people that you photograph?
In most cases, I photograph artists and people related to cultural life. Actors, musicians, writers… And friends, anonymous people…

How did you discover the photography?
It was a hobby that became a career. I worked with theather and liked to shoot rehearsals, actors.

Your portraits are involving and seductive. How do you get to capture the essence of people?
Actually, I don’t think that way. I just think about having a strong and beautiful image, that makes people stop to see it. It isn’t about essence. It’s about aesthetics.

Your work is very versatile. What led you to the many ways in the photograhy?
In fact, everything points to a single theme: people. Then, I just direct to it. If there are people, I’m interested.

Wich cameras do you use? And wich one do you prefer using?
In my regular work days, I use a Canon 5D mark 2. But I love my Hasselblad 501 C, that I used the most part of my life.

How was your experience in shooting with LOMO LC-A?
It was a delight. It’s a fascinating camera. Fixed lens, direct.

If you could photograph someone, who would it be and why?
I want to photograph two people: Roberto Carlos and Mike Patton. I greatly admire the singer Roberto Carlos. I think he is the greatest artist of Brazil. And I think Mike would be real fun…
