Daisy Lowe herself!

Tell us all a bit about yourself
I’m Daisy, hello! I’m a model who has appeared in campaigns for Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Pringle, DKNY, Anna Sui and I’ve shot covers for i-D, British Vogue and Dazed to name but a few.

How long have you been a lomographer or are you new to this whole thing?
I’m a really keen on photography in general but Lomography has been fairly new to me – I’ve loved going back to basics with film though, it’s been a lot of fun.

You’re working with the British Heart Foundation at the moment, can you tell us a bit about that?
I love taking photos anyway, but taking them to help raise awareness for the British Heart Foundation’s latest appeal – ‘Mending Broken Hearts’ – gives it all a purpose. I took 14 Lomography shots which were displayed at Westfield London and can now be bought to raise money at the British Heart Foundation’s Ebay shop

Did you enjoy shooting with the Diana F+?
The Diana F+ is a really great camera to shoot with; super easy to use and the shots you get are always different. I love the fact that you don’t know what you are going to end up with until the processed film comes back.

As a model you have your photo taken every day, do you often meet photographers who use film?
It’s not that common anymore, but you see it occasionally which is quite refreshing.

Out of all the photoshoots you’ve done, which was your favourite and why?
I couldn’t pick a favourite but I’ve been really fortunate to shoot with some of the top photographers on the planet for some of the top magazines in the world. I recently shot the cover of Korean Dazed with Rankin, who also shot me for Peacocks which I loved. Working with Ellen Von Unworth for Biba was also a favourite and I loved my ASOS cover with Guy Aroch who is a dream.

What’s coming up next in Daisy’s world?
Lots of exciting things going on – including some great campaigns this year. Watch this space!
