Clarissemerigeot0 shoots with the Lomo LC-A+
written by fookshit on August 10th, 2009 , 3 comments (3 votes)

Our Amiga Clarisse hails from the city of love, and there’s much amour for the Lomo LC-A+ – check out the soundtrack of her life and the things she loves about the Minitar wonder in our interview with her!

REAL NAME Clarisse MERIGEOT
CITY Paris
COUNTRY France

How long have you been a Lomographer?
CM: Three years and counting.

Describe the LC-A+ in five words.
CM: Brand new, exciting at first, kinda disappointing at doubles, very seducing, sexy looking.

The strangest, funniest, or hands-down greatest photographic/Lomographic encounter that you have ever had.
CM: Meeting Lomographers from different country is always a wild and sexy experience. I met a few of them so far. I met Natalie Zwillinger, saw her take pictures with my very eyes and I am now totally obsessed with shooting the same pictures. It will sadly never happen but who cares, I guess I’ll just find a way to improve my shooting.

If your photos shown here could have a soundtrack of three songs, what would they be (song title & artist please).
CM: hmm let’s see. I guess sad songs are the best, since my pictures are never good enough… No seriously. Probably Pyramid Song by Radiohead, Maps by the Yeah yeah yeahs and Many Lives by Final Fantasy for the LOMO LC-A+ cause it’s my daily soundtrack these days.

Digital or Analog? Why?
CM: Forever analog. Shooting digital pictures is such a shame. Plus nothing will ever replace, despite all of the manufacturers efforts to make digital cameras sound the same, the sound analog cameras make. Nothing will ever replace the pleasure of waiting for days before seeing what your pictures look like. Instant gratification is just not right nor fun.

If you could be anywhere, doing anything, right now – where would it be and what would you do?
CM: I guess I would be shooting triples in Greenwich Village New York.

The absolute best restaurant in your town – something authentic, delicious, and not too pricey. Name & address please.
CM: Oh Poivrier, 1 avenue de Versailles 75016 PARIS (Scootiepye ate there with me and obviously loved it since she’s telling me to type they’re address right now) www.ohpoivrier.com

Things about the LC-A+ that you love & adore.
CM: I absolutely love the way it looks and the fact that you can use a cable release which was quite unexpected, as well as the 1600 exposure even though I’m not sure how I’m gonna use it yet. But I still liked the good old LOMO LC-A much better.

Your advice to future LC-A+ Lomographers.
CM: You gotta shoot some doubles with the Lomo LC-A+ but don’t shoot too many of them, you might be disappointed in the results. Put it on a keychain and take a walk outside. This camera looks so hot you’ll probably meet your new girlfriend/boyfriend. Shoot many simples with a lot of different films, the colors might be happy surprises.
