Every year, my city hosts wonderful Christmas stalls. I like strolling through these holiday markets, looking for some original gift items and even delicious local food. Far from shopping malls, I always find many interesting gifts here! Read more after the jump!
Every year, I like to walk along the Christmas stalls of my city, Como, situated in the Northern Italy. Every year, from the beginning of December, the main squares of my city hosts some stalls rich of handicraft product, great local food, and other nice and funny ideas for gifts. This year, the stalls are located in Piazza Cavour, the largest square of my city, in front of the lake.
My city is situated near the Swiss border at the foot of Alps. Locally, there are many manufacturers of excellent cheese, made either with cow’s milk or with goat’s milk.
For my female friends I like to buy some good artisanal beauty products, and even some good fragrance.
Don’t miss these nice stalls selling Christmas sweets and candies!
This year there is a stall that sells beautiful hand-decorated dishes! There are also stalls raising money for charity:
Some nice soft toys for the little children, and maybe even a pair of warm winter shoes will surely be an appreciated gift!
All these photos were taken with my old Kodak Instamatic camera loaded with a more than 20 years old (expired) Agfa film. This was my first camera, that I used when I was 11 years old and that I loaded at the beginning of December with a now rare 126 film roll! Christmas is the feast of the children, so I wanted to take these photos with the camera that I used in my own childhood!
