The Color of Nature: Kebun Raya Bogor

Kebun Raya Bogor aka Bogor Botanical Garden is famous among local tourists and even international tourists. When you enter this park, you got a feeling that you're no longer in Bogor, you're on a place that no words can ever describe!

Kebun Raya Bogor or Bogor Botanical Garden is located at the City of Bogor (you don’t say). The main entrance is located just in front of Jalan Suryakancana (I will write about that later, don’t worry), but there is another entrance for pedestrians in front of Institut Pertanian Bogor’s building on Jalan Padjajaran.

This hundreds of years-old botanical garden was built by Thomas Stanford Raffles, and the trees here have been living for hundreds years. There are so many collections of trees, flowers, and plants. From pine to maple, bamboo to cactus, orchid to rafflesia, they’ve got everything here because you can plant almost everything in Bogor!

What’s so special about this place? Well, I’ve mentioned that the trees in this garden are hundreds of years-old, so the trees are really tall. I also think tall trees are perfect for making silhouettes!

Beside trees, this park has some other things, too! Just say it! Bridges, graveyards, tombs, ponds, greenhouses, museums, restaurants, ice cream stands, statues, and many more! You’ll never get bored here!

Well, photos say much more than words, so here are my photos of Kebun Raya Bogor so far… and I believe this gallery only covers 1/10 of the garden; it’s just too big to lomograph in just one roll!

So, what are you waiting for? Come to Bogor Botanical Garden and discover the color of nature by yourself! Who knows what lomo adventure awaits you there!
