My dear friend Grazie suggested to me one fantastic and I think very helpful theme for the series: What to see and visit in Prague when you have only three days. This is my suggestion for the first day. I hope it will help and inspire you!
It is great to start your first day in Prague with some good food, so let’s have a brunch at Modry Beranek Restaurant in Karlin, Thamova street. It offers great selection of breakfast meals from croissants, tasty marmalades, musli with milk, or more typical Czech breakfasts with baked rolls, scrambled eggs and bacon. All you need is to choose from the wide selection. You can be sure that you get good quality food, because the main suppliers are Czech farmers, so everything is fresh and healthy.
After this tasty breakfast, you have enough strength and energy to walk a lot the whole day. So along the river you may try to catch and shoot some seagulls and swans, find your way to the Old Town Square to be in front of the famous tower and clock exactly at the whole hour, watching this typical tourist attraction and being squeezed in the crowd of tourists. Then, go back to the river and up the hill to spend some great time at the castle and its surroundings. Don’t forget to catch the changing of guards at 12 o’ clock.
Your next move might be catching the nostalgic old tram to have a special sightseeing and get out at the Namesti Republiky. From there you can easily get to Petrska Square and enjoy either vegan meals at Loving Hut or Italian meals at Alforno Restaurant. Lunch may be followed by the best Prague’s coffee from Miguel Caffe and then some shopping. Finish your day with some drinks and party hard at Chapeau Rouge at Jakubska street or if you like more the rock music to get you into mood, try Harley’s Bar at Dlouha street.
