Bohol is home to one of the Philippine's major tourist attractions - the Chocolate Hills. I went there with only one roll in hand and hoped for the best. Here's what I got!

I’ll go ahead and say it – I don’t have a good photo of the chocolate hills. I wish I could say that I was going against the grain, and that the photo was too cliche for me. But in reality, I just mucked up the shot. Sorry!

With that said, Bohol is a nice place to go to if you’re a beach person who wants a little solitude as well. Boracay is good and all, but if you want to get away from the crowd while still having access to pristine white sand beaches, a trip to Bohol is just what the doctor ordered.

Don’t make the mistake of booking a hotel not near the beach though! While ideally it’s nice to have a hotel that’s in town, once night falls you won’t be able to go anywhere aside from your hotel room. Besides, all non beach activities like visiting the chocolate hills, the various churches and other tourist sites can all be done in a day. I recommend getting it over with on your first day so you can relax ASAP.

With that said, is it worth it going to Bohol? If you love the beach, definitively. If you don’t, then I’d recommend to look elsewhere since that’s pretty much all you’re to do here.

Bohol is amazing. Miss it a lot. Chocolate Hills, Tarsiers, Man made forests and dolphin watching were my faves, but the bee farm is pretty amazing too. #BoholRocks
