Photodigitalweb Shop, Athens

Photodigitalweb, located in the very heart of Athens, is the best place to fulfill all you photography needs. We have a lot of knowledge, a large selection of photo equipment, and a great love for analogue photography!

Which one is your favourite Lomography camera and why?
Diana F+! I put all my bets on this beauty. So many features and accessories to choose from. also, its so cool to discover new ways to interfere with it and patent new methods to take exciting, fresh, weird photos!

What’s the weirdest Lomographic moment you’ve ever had?
I was shooting a bunch of nice little mutts while troddling about in a park with my Fish Eye looking for some funny Lomo moments when a huge Mastiff came all happy and snappy slobbering on me. He threw me off on to the grass while he was trying to grab my lens! My lens?! Why on earth would he want to grab my lens?! When his owner came running to save me he said that the dog- for some reason he doesn’t know either- is attracted to shiny gold stuff! Cheeky dog chewed off the lens from my beautiful brand new FishEye No 2. Gold! Needless to say the whole film roll was off to the bin! Pity but fun! The owner has committed to arranging a photo shoot session just for me and Putty the Mastiff!

What is the nerdiest question you’ve ever been asked in your shop?
Ok… here goes: “Can I glue some Lomo cameras together and make like a stick of three or four of them so as to shoot with a different machine quicker?” (!!!!!!) I thought about it for a minute and I said… sure dude! Its lomo, you can do whatever you want. Go for it! I think the guy actually patented a way of putting some cameras together on a long aluminium plate or something.

Where is the best place to shoot some Lomographic masterpieces in your city?
The run down blocks around the centre of Athens I guess. The old derelict factories on the southwest part of the centre and the old neighborhoods of Petralona and around Peiraios str. It’s also definitely worth going around the coast line of Attica all the way from the port of Peiraias to the glamorous beaches and beach bars of Glyfada and Vouliagmeni. Its easy to get there and you can catch a few snaps on the tram too!
