Lomography Guide to Prague: Museum Kampa

Summer in Prague can be pretty exhausting. The sun is shining and there is no sea to jump into, just the river Vltava. If you are a modern art lover, then I offer you Museum Kampa as one of the best and interesting "break-from-sun" or "break-from-freeze" (during cold days) experiences in Prague.

Museum Kampa is one of the best modern art galleries in Prague. It is focused on Central European modern art especially Czech. The gallery is situated on an “island” near the river and park — making it a great escape from the traffic and the rush of the city, but on the other hand, always in danger during floods on Vltava.

“Museum Kampa has in its care several very important and extensive collections, which includes two icons of 20th century art: František Kupka and Otto Gutfreund and Central European modern art. The collection of Central European art serves not only as a reminder of the so called Eastern Bloc but also contributes to the awareness of modern Czech culture”. — Museum Kampa

If you do not manage to take photos inside (because of the museum attendants who will be faster than you), don’t be sad. The surroundings of the gallery and the park will give you all the lomo-love you can wish for.
