Summer Hot Spots: Better Days at Laiya Beach

Beaches are one of the go-to places during summer vacations, and Philippines is much known for its beautiful shores. There’s Boracay, a beach for people who love to party, and there’s also Palawan, for those who love nature trips. But how about those who love to just relax?

Just a 4-hour drive away from Manila, you will find the peaceful Laiya Beach in San Juan, Batangas. A place where you can relax, sit on the sand, embrace the salty waters, and bathe in the summer sun.

Laiya Beach is one of my favorite shores; I wouldn’t have gone there three times if I didn’t liked it. It is the kind of beach that will let you just relax — not the kind where people party at night. Nights there are very quiet, perfect for listening to the waves and watching faint lights of fishermen in their boats.

One of my favorite things to do there is to wake up at dawn and wait for the sunrise. Fishermen also come back during that time so it was surely a photo opportunity.

During midday, you get to enjoy the blue skies and nothing beats the sunny blue sky at the beach! There are few activities to enjoy there too, like banana boat rides. And of course, do not forget to bring your friends!

If ever you are planning to go there, just Google ‘Laiya Beach’ and I’m sure you will get some resort suggestions. I also would like to suggest that you book your reservations as soon as possible for some resorts there are always fully booked and don’t accept walk-ins.
