Let’s go to an island, but not just any random island: in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, there’s a cool archipelago, the autonomous state of Malta!
UK? Iceland? Ibiza? No. Let’s go to the serene south of Europe, to one of the smallest states in the European Community: Malta. Why do I suggest to go and take pictures in this tiny archipelago? Simply because of its beauty that will guarantee good results with analog pictures.
I’m telling this simply because Malta has the type of environment that provides good light for the pictures. The intensity of light is really high and there are a lot of aspects in this beautiful country that reflect that: blue sea, white sand (or red, black if you go in some specific places), towns made of white stone. You will soon realize that the entire island is full of light-reflecting components on the ground, making it warm and bright and perfect.
Aside from that, Malta is a magical country in which the natural features melt with architectural and historical places. If you love landscape photography, surely you will be happy to explore towns, natural parks, beaches and historical abandoned places. On the other side, you will surely love to use some of the landscapes as backgrounds for portrait photography (if you prefer this kind of photography).
It also helps that it’s a great place to just relax and take it easy!
I think that this is a really good summer hot spot to visit — it is definitely worth it. Surely you will enjoy the amazing photographic opportunities of these islands!
