Pretty much any weekend, somewhere in Australia, you will find a classic car show. These classic cars make for great lomography fun with their different colours and shapes. The owners embody the same values as we do, as analogue lovers. I was lucky enough to be able to attend this annual show held at The Entrance in the Australian state of New South Wales.
The Entrance is a suburb on the Central Coast, a quick 1-and-a-half hour drive from Sydney. This makes it very popular with Sydney-siders who want to get away from the city for the weekend. Most weekends, during the Spring and Summer months, you will find some kind of event at the Tuggerah Lakes Memorial Park, which is a large open space right by the water and with many shops, restaurants and family fun activities like kids water park close-by.
One weekend in October last year, we headed down to the park to check out the classic car show, and I was very glad that I had brought a couple of cameras along as it was incredibly fun to go from car to car, taking photos of the different colours, designs, and talking to the proud owners of these vehicles.
