One of my favourite places to go to when I get the chance for a bit of a break is definitely London. Read on after the jump to find out why.
A few years ago when my friends and I all finished uni, London ate all of my friends, leaving just me and my other half up here in the North of England. Although I was quite angry about this for a long time, when I started to get into Lomography about 3 years ago, I started visiting my Southern friends and using this as an opportunity to go Lomo-mental. Here are some shots from one of my first visits down there.
As I got more into Lomography, I wanted to get out and do more stuff, so last year I went to London several times for different reasons and to take photos of different things. This included a first trip with my LC-A and my family, a protest against government cuts, with my Zenit E, and an exhibition of art by prisoners.
2012 was no different and I have been down to London again for a few different events. We attended Coppafeel’s annual festival in the summer, courtesy of Lomography. And then in August we were lucky enough to attend for the Olympic games.
Now I visit London not just to see my long lost friends, but also because there is so much going on all the time that you can always get some good photos going on, and it is now one of my favourite places for a city break and to shoot a few rolls of film in the UK.
