A Summer Trip Around the Streets of Roma

A beautiful summer trip with my Horizon Kompakt and a lot of films in my pocket.

Rome, the ‘Eternal City’, is the capital and largest city of Italy. It’s the famed city of the Roman Empire, the Seven Hills, La Dolce Vita and the Vatican City. Rome is full of wonderful palaces, millennium-old churches and basilicas, grand romantic ruins, opulent monuments, ornate statues, and graceful fountains.

Rome has an immensely rich historical heritage and cosmopolitan atmosphere, making it one of Europe’s and the world’s most visited, famous, influential, and beautiful capitals.

This last summer, I went with my girlfriend for a few days to Rome, walking, walking, and walking all those streets and monuments. It’s a really wonderful city. And it’s a great experience. The Coliseum, the Ara Pacis, the Roman Forum, The Sistine Chapel, the Pantheon… They’re huge! but with patience and a good plan, all can be viewed… with a little improvisation “a la lomo”!

Really, if you can go to Rome, don’t think too much… It’s a must in life!
