My Favorite Christmas Shopping District

Every year in Como, some interesting flea markets pop up around the holidays and that's where I do my Christmas shopping. You can find crafts, paintings by local artists, food and household items, and even a wonderful Lubitel 2 that I bought for only one Euro!

Every year in Como, from the first Sunday of December to January 6th, you can find in the pedestrian zone some flea markets where you can find many interesting objects to give a gifts. This year, for example, I found a beautiful Lubitel 2 for only one Euro (I had repaired it as written in another article). I love to buy these kinds of items, and save them from ending up in a landfill!

While you wait you can get a portrait done by a street artist!

If you are looking for a Christmas present, you can always choose a painting made by local artists. The prices are affordable and you’ll have a pretty touch of colors to hang on a wall!

In these cold days of December, a handful of roasted chestnuts is always nice!

All these photos were taken with my trusty Fed 2 camera with a Jupiter 8 lens. The large rangefinder base allows me to focus with care and precision, even at full aperture of the diaphragm.

If you are looking culinary products from all over Italy, do not miss the Sunday market at the public gardens. Last Sunday, there were typical products of Sardinia and Calabria.
