Auckland Eateries: An Introduction

Being an Aucklander for 20 years, I have to admit I'm rather biased when it comes to praising what Auckland has to offer. I've travelled to many places around the world but there is nothing quite like returning home after an exotic trip and induldging in the many amazing eateries in Auckland.

Although not the capital of New Zealand, Auckland is the largest city with a population of over 1.3 million people. Food lovers are spoilt for choice when it comes to dining out in Auckland and locations such as Ponsonby, Britomart, Viaduct, and New Market are bursting with trendy bistros, coffee shops and new establishments that are always popping up around Auckland!

This location series will take you to some of my favorite eateries in Auckland. Whether they’re local cafes, fish and chips shops, five star fine dining restaurants, or stalls in a farmer’s market, this series will hopefully illustrate and elaborate the exceptional food that Auckland has to offer. We might be a small city compared to the likes of Hong Kong, New York, or London, but our local eateries can be comparable to any other metropolis!

Hope you enjoy this series!
